A hopper, electromagnetic feeder with dimmer control, roll construction, driving motor, adjustable splitter plates, and control panel make up the magnetic separator. 

A powerful rare earth magnetic roll serves as a head pulley in the rare earth roll separator. Ferrous particles stick to the belt when it passes over the rare-earth magnetic roll, while non-ferrous particles drop smoothly off the belt into the non-magnetic chute due to the centrifugal force.
